Miami Software

Miami University provides many site-licensed software titles in support of the academic mission.

Qualified Miami faculty, staff and students have access to Miami-negotiated pricing on computer software.

See the lists below to find out how to get software you need for your university-owned or personal computer.

If you have questions about software purchasing or downloading, contact IT Help at (513) 529-7900 or ITHelp@MiamiOH.edu.

University Owned Computers

Software that is site licensed for your university-owned computer is available through the Configuration Manager Application Catalog  (Windows) or Casper Self Service (Mac). These tools allow you to install licensed software titles that have been provisioned for your departmental computer. To learn more about self-service software delivery, see the knowledge base articles for Configuration Manager Application Catalog or Casper Self Service.

To use the software deployment tools, your computer must be joined to Miami’s Active Directory.  If you know your computer is not joined to Miami’s Active Directory, or if you don’t know if it is joined, please see your departmental technology support representative.

Software Store: If you do not find the software that you are looking for using the software deployment tools, please go to the Miami Software Store.  Here you will find many software titles that can be purchased using a university index code.

Miami-provided utility software: Software that is site-licensed and/or a commonly used utility type software such as uPrint and the drive-mapping tool can be found on the Miami Utilities page.
