(Xementhis immensis)

  • Range: Tropical South America.

  • As an adult, this spider is large enough to eat small birds.

  • Like all spiders, it has eight legs and is venomous.

  • The two appendages in front that look like legs are called pedipalps. They are feeling organs to help the spider eat.
