David Beitz

Dave Beitz has served Miami University in the IT division for the last 25 years. Currently he is the Manager of Network Services. This is Dave's second tour with UPAC, and he enjoys the opportunity to represent the unclassified staff of the university. On a personal note, Dave hsa been married for 26 years and has 5 children. Dave retired from the Oxford Fire Department after 22 years of service and enjoys hiking, photography and playing music.

Donna Boen

Donna Boen (pronounced Bowen) is editor of Miamian, Miami's alumni magazine, both the printed edition and the online version, Miamian on the Web ( A 1983 graduate of Miami with a bachelor's in mass communication, she started writing professionally as a freelancer for the Dayton Daily News while in college. After graduation, she joined the Columbus (Ohio) Citizen-Journal as a general assignment reporter.

She returned to Miami in 1985 as assistant director of the News Bureau, becoming editor of Miamian six years later. In 1996, she completed a master's at Miami in technical and scientific communication.

Donna's taken piano lessons for year, and even though she still quakes at the sight of a song in five flats, she appreciates how music has helped develop the rhythm of her writing—both when it's flat and when it's sharp.

Lisa Dankovich

Lisa is a proud alumna who has served at Miami for more than 24 years. She earned a B.S. in Business (Organizational Behavior) from the Farmer School of Business while competing as a volleyball scholarship-athlete and then continued her studies by earning an M.S. in Physical Education (Sports Management) from Indiana University.

She returned to Oxford in 1989 as the assistant volleyball coach/recruiting coordinator. After 16-years working in the collegiate coaching profession, a career change led to serving as the associate director of institutional relations where she was a state and federal registered lobbyist for Miami. Currently, she is the director of university external relations in university communications & marketing. She is the primary liaison with the Cincinnati USA Partnership, the economic development arm of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber of Commerce. This position requires her to work closely with a wide variety of university stakeholders to bring awareness to the private-public partnership opportunities within the Greater Cincinnati Region.

Lisa has a passion for leadership and helping people. She has earned certificates from the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber of Commerce’s WE Lead Program and the Women’s Institute for Higher Education Leadership Development Program. She is a member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization (Chapter EQ) and on the Oxford Community Foundation Board.

Tracy Davis

Tracy L. Davis is the Student Services Coordinator at Miami's Voice of America Learning Center. Tracy received her B.A. Degree from The Ohio State University in Journalism and her M.S. Degree in College Student Personnel from Miami University, Oxford. Tracy came to Miami University Middletown in 2001, where she was the Coordinator for Student Success and Co-curricular Programs. In 2008, she joined the staff at the Voice of America Learning Center in West Chester. She has worn a variety of hats in higher education including Instructor, Academic Advisor, Administrative Support, Dance Team Coach and Residence Life Staff, just to name a few.

Tracy is also a Licensed Massage Therapist and graduated from the Cincinnati School of Medical Massage in 2006.

Tracy is a wife and mother of one 2-year old son and foster mom to 5-month old twin boys.

Mark has worked for Miami University for over 14 years, spending the majority of his time at Miami as the Director of the Outdoor Pursuit Center. He accepted a new position in October 2012 as the Senior Director of Programs and Academic Partnerships at the Recreational Sports Center. In this new role, he is responsible for supervising all recreation programs which includes Aquatics, Fitness, Intramural Sports, Club Sports, and Outdoor Pursuits.

In addition to supervising programs, he has been tasked with creating partnerships with academic divisions and other university departments which will enhance programming and student opportunities. Mark also teaches academic classes for a variety of departments including Honors, Teacher Education, and Kinesiology & Health. During his at tenure at Miami, Mark has been responsible for the creation of 12 new academic classes. He has a passion for helping students become global citizens and has led over 30 curricular and co-curricular international experiences to countries such as Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga, Kenya, and the Bahamas.  

Mark has represented Miami at the national level as well. He hosted the 14th International Conference on Outdoor Recreation and Education at Miami University in November 2001. Mark received the David J. Webb Program of Excellence Award presented in recognition of innovative services, professionalism and contributions to the field of outdoor recreation in October 2004. He served on the Board of Directors for the Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education (AORE) from 2005-2008.

Clark Kelly

Clark is the Director of Development for College of Engineering & Computing (CEC). In this role he interfaces with CEC alumni that want to connect back to Miami. He travels throughout the nation visiting alumni and helps them establish their legacy through a variety of giving strategies including: volunteering time; connecting their industry/company to Miami; monetary donations; bequest plans. Additionally, Clark is a full member of the CEC Executive Leadership Council.

Prior to this position Clark was appointed to UPAC as a Student Affairs appointee. Clark worked in the Career Services office as part of the College of Arts and Sciences liaison team to provide a full range of services for Miami’s Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) students and faculty. He conducted career advising with students on topics including career and/or major exploration, career testing, résumé preparation/professional correspondence, job-search strategies and interview preparation.

Clark retired from military service in 2010 after serving his last 3 years as the Air Force ROTC Commander at Miami and Chair of the Aerospace Department in CAS.

Suesann Sepela

Ms. Sepela has worked at MUH in some capacity since 2000 with a wide variety of responsibilities. She teaches classes, tutors students, advises students, coordinates 3 different courses, hires, trains and monitors student tutors, and coordinates the College Readiness Program. In her spare time, she runs a lot.

Sarah Thacker: Born in Cincinnati, Ohio. Attended Art Academy of Cincinnati graduated in 2001 with a BA in Art History. Started her career in higher education in 2005 at Northern Kentucky University as the Textbook Manager in the Bookstore. Joined Miami University as the Book Manager in 2009. Promoted to Director of Bookstores in November of 2013. Received the 2010 Dale Carnegie Innovation Award and was recipient of the Innovation in Excellence Award from Miami in 2012.
