Sale of Cincinnati Bell Wireless to Verizon Wireless:
Cincinnati Bell Wireless has announced; pending regulatory approval the sale of the wireless portion of their business to Verizon Wireless. This decision was made after much deliberation and will allow Cincinnati Bell to focus on their industry-leading fioptics video and high-speed internet services. Miami University has a current partnership with Verizon Wireless and is committed to transition our current Cincinnati Bell Wireless customers to Verizon Wireless with competitive rates and equipment.
In the coming weeks, the Telecommunications Cellular Service Center will be announcing new Verizon Wireless rate plans and promotions and will be contacting the current Cincinnati Bell Wireless cliental with information specific to their accounts to help determine their needs.
Cincinnati Bell expects to be fully operational for the next 8-12 months; so there will not be any interruption in services due to this announcement. There is also no obligation to transfer the service.
As the sale proceedings progress and more information becomes available; there will be additional announcements.
