Description
Community Leadership Team Money Each semester, community leadership teams are appropriated $3.00 per resident.  The funds are placed into the residence hall's account which is maintained by the Community Leadership Team adviser and governed by Miami University policies and procedures.  These funds are at the discretion of the hall council with the approval of the Community Leadership Team adviser.
RA Program Money Each semester, hall staffs are appropriated $3.50 per resident.  The funds are placed into the residence hall's account which is maintained by the professional staff and governed by Miami University policies and procedures.  These funds are at the discretion of the hall staff with the approval of the professional staff.
Residence Hall Association Funds The RHA Funding Board can reimburse hall staffs and hall councils for programs available to all residents living within the hall.  Individuals can seek pre-approval for programs estimated to cost more than $100.00.  To apply for funds go to the MU RHA website and complete the form.
Staff Development Funds For more information about Staff Development Funds, click on the Staff Development link on the Advisory Staff Manual.
Living Learning Community Fund This fund is intended to be used by hall staffs who facilitate programs where faculty and staff are involved.  For more information click on LLC Funding on the ORL Staff Web pages under the Programming Menu.  Please turn in an application at least 2 weeks prior to the event.
Community Service Transportation Fund Transportation related to community service activities may be funded via the community service transportation fund, which will pay up to $250.00 per year toward vehicle rental and/or mileage expenses.  The Student Affairs Outreach Van is also available at no cost.  Contact the Office of Community Engagment and Service, ext. 9-2961.
Co-curricular Learning Grants These grants are available to staff members teaching classes.  The purpose of these grants is to assist faculty in providing learning experiences for undergraduates outside the classroom, for example, field trips to special exhibits.  Apply at least 2 weeks before the activity.  The maximum award is $200.00 per activity and $500.00 per department per year.  Contact the Office of Service Learning and Civic Leadership, ext. 9-2961.
The Miami University Parents Fund In the past, persons have had an opportunity to apply for funding to strengthen ways in which we serve students on this campus.  Proposals can be submitted twice during an academic year, on October 15 and January 15.  Funding priority will be given to those projects submitted during the first round.  If you have questions about the general guidelines for applying, please contact the Parents' and Families Office at 529-3436.
Other Campus Organizations and Departments In the past, other campus organizations and departments including the Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Council, and College of Arts and Science have contributed money to joint programming efforts with groups within the Office of Residence Life.
Fundraising Residence hall fundraisers do not need to be approved if residents of the hall are the only students who are solicited.  If the residence hall would like to solicit students living outside the hall, permission for the fundraiser needs to be obtained from the Student Activities Office in 356 Shriver, ext. 9-2266.
