Censorship and Regulation in Cyberspace

Ever since cyberspace has been created, it has stirred up controversy. Cyberspace has been viewed by many as a sort of anarchy that is unguided, and it is going to destroy the social being between all human communication. For my individual project, I want to dwell a little bit further into the sort of anarchy that exists in cyberspace. There are a number of questions that I would like to try to answer:

What are some of the general regulations that are dispersed throughout the cyberspace community if there are any?

Who is responsible for these regulations? Is it ethical to have regulations? What about Freedom of Speech?

Are there any guidelines on art, music, and hate sites? If there are, is this censorship and is it legal?

Another interesting topic popular today, is the ability to download samples of music from the Internet? Is this illegal, and what is being done about the topic if it is illegal?

Who are the major communities fighting for the no guideline use on the Internet, and what are their reasons?

Who are the major communities fighting for strict guideline use on the Internet, and what are their reasons?

These are just some rough ideas about this topic that I would like to discuss in my project.
