Miami will celebrate undergraduate contributions to research Wednesday April 15, 2015

Miami's Undergraduate Research Forum showcases the creative and scholarly activities of undergraduates who engaged in research over the course of the academic year. During the interactive posters sessions both student researchers and mentors celebrate and promote undergraduate engagment in learning and scholarly achievement. The event is free and open to the public. Visitors can walk by and discuss with student scholars how each unique project was conceived and developed and hear directly from students their perception of the impact these rich mind/hands-on research experiences. Who is Eligible to Participate?
All Miami students are invited to register online by end of February to present at the annual Undergraduate Research Forum. Student presentations can be about any research topic in any discipline.The student research may have been carried out as part of a class, an independent study, a community project, service-learning project, a creative project, etc.

The Miami community and the public enjoyed the poster sessions and oral sessions held at Shriver Center on April 16, 2014. Over 500 students were involved in three interactive poster sessions. Over 30 undergraduate presenters offered information about their work to an audience, speaking about the process involved in formulating a research question, deciphering results, and planning for future investigations.

UR 14 Forum Event Formats
Students choose one of two presentation formats (oral or poster) to represent their work and to articulate results of an independent faculty-mentored research experience.
