Thank you to everyone who was able to attend last night's Parents Webinar!  We hope that we were able to clear up a lot of your remaining questions and that you're getting excited about your students' upcoming international experience!

If you were unable to attend, we have uploaded the PowerPoint to your student's Niihka site, so please ask them to send that to you if you would like to see it. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may still have: luxembourg@miamioh.edu or 513-529-8600.

Goodbye, Katie!  We'll miss you!

It is with heavy hearts we say goodbye to Katie Grady, our Student Activities Coordinator of the past two years.  Katie always went above and beyond for the MUDEC students and was always someone they could rely on and confide in. Katie's kind and caring nature and her enthusiasm for MUDEC, Luxembourg, and the student experience have value beyond words or measure. She will be missed by everyone in Luxembourg and by us here in Oxford.  Here is her final note in the Monday Newsletter:

"As my two years as Student Activities Coordinator sadly comes to an end, I feel so incredibly lucky for the opportunity to be able to give back to the program that shaped my own college experience seven years ago.  I am also overwhelmed with gratitude towards all of the gracious people that have helped me feel at home in Luxembourg and in my position, towards all of the students who have let me share in their MUDEC semester, and towards all of the members of the MUDEC community for two years of incredible fun.

I say addi (goodbye) but also bis geschwenn (see you soon).  Merci fir alles (thank you for everything).  It has been such a pleasure."

Keukenhof, Holland

Welcome back Spring 2015 MUDECers!  We hope you had an amazing intercultural experience!  It's time to catch up with friends and family and all things USA (Chipotle anyone?!), but we hope that next semester, you'll join the Lux Club, apply to be a student ambassador, or just come and say hi!  Also, remember to give yourself some time to reflect on your experience: highs and lows, cultural similarities and differences, and how you can incorporate your new perspective of the world into your daily lives.

We're glad you're back!

Studying abroad at Miami University provides students with an unparalleled academic experience during their undergraduate careers.  International study allows students to enrich their communication skills, enhance their resume, and compete in today’s globalized economy.

The Miami University John E. Dolibois European Center (MUDEC) in Luxembourg offers students a unique combination of first-class academics, engagement in the local community, and various faculty-guided and independent travel opportunities.  Students may participate in semester, year-long, or summer programs.

Studying at MUDEC provides students with an outstanding education while being immersed in the rich diversity of cultures that characterize modern European life. Due to Luxembourg's central location, it is convenient for students to explore much of Europe.  All students live in a European homestay arrangement, ensuring that they experience the local culture firsthand.

We welcome you to visit the Luxembourg Office in 214 MacMillan Hall to learn more about the program and to discuss your options with one of our program advisers.
