Welcome to Geography at Miami University

The Department of Geography at Miami was founded in 1906. Today geographers work on cutting-edge issues like urbanization, globalization, and environmental change. Our two undergraduate majors in Geography and Urban and Regional Planning prepare students for employment, graduate school, travel, and life. Alumni from our small but focused M.A. program succeed in professional and academic careers. Our faculty are active researchers in global development and politics, urbanization and planning, and human-environment relationships, among others. We welcome you to learn more about Geography at Miami.
