  Animal Care and Use Program:
All interactions with and provisions for the care or use of animals in research, teaching, and testing by Miami personnel or on property controlled by the university must be approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). Federal regulations and contracts require a system of managing oversight. This system includes training requirements, an application and review process, and post-approval monitoring
