This is a Not a Good Place For Spiders

Although beautiful to us, this is not a good place for spiders. You said your spiders would share their island with a colony of seabirds, which is very good. However, seabirds tend to form colonies on small islands, not large ones like yours. Your island is large and, thus, has little shoreline per square meter of island. The currents off your island are swift, though, and will bring some food from the sea.
