These Webpages are no longer maintained. We are keeping the pages here to preserve some of the early years of ProjectDragonfly, to honor the students who created the interactives in the early days of the Web, and because many of the activities are fun and people are still using them. Unique evidence lost!!

Dinosaur fossils cannot be pulled right from the ground and put together like a puzzle, because they are very fragile. The arrangement in which the fossils are found is important, too. It gives you, the paleontologist, important clues such as how the dinosaur died, what it ate, and what its surroundings were like.

Try covering the fossils first.
