These Webpages are no longer maintained. We are keeping the pages here to preserve some of the early years of ProjectDragonfly, to honor the students who created the interactives in the early days of the Web, and because many of the activities are fun and people are still using them. That's Right!

When two double big "YYs" combine with two double little "yys" four "Yys" result.  The trait that is expressed depends on what the dominant trait is.  In this case, the dominant trait is the color yellow and so all the offspring of the "YY" and the "yy" are yellow.

What do you think would happen if two "Yys" were combined?

·  All the plants would be yellow.
·  None of the plants would be yellow.
·  Some of the plants would be yellow and some of the plants would be green.
